The second meeting of the two-day training “Fighting against hate crimes, supporting the victims” ended last 6th February. It saw the participation of 28 people, including activists, volunteers, students and civil society organizations members. Throughout the workshop, the trainers outlined the main issues related to hate crimes and its regulatory framework, the complaints procedures and the practices for supporting victims, in a joint and collaborative perspective between institutions and civil society.
This training followed the first workshop that took place on 11 December 2015 in Rome, and was supported by use of the visual recording technique (here the photo gallery). The success of this previous event, involving seventeen persons, encouraged the organisers – Lunaria association and “Osservatoro sul razzismo e le diversità” of Roma Tre University – to implement another training course, carried out under the European project “Together: fighting against hate crime”.
